Famous director Ali Abbas Zafar is once again making a comeback to Yash Raj Films. He will direct several big-budget original theatrical projects under the banner of his mentor Aditya Chopra.A trade source said, "Ali Abbas Zafar is a filmmaker who has given big hit films like 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan', 'Sultan', 'Gunday' and 'Tiger Zinda Hai' to Yash Raj Films. Therefore, this is an exciting development because Ali is now technically returning to his alma mater."The source further added, "We are confident that Ali, by collaborating creatively with Aditya Chopra, will touch even greater heights at Yash Raj Films. Both have not decided yet which films Ali will direct at Yash Raj Films, but we can confirm that these will all be original theatrical projects. Now there is a huge expectation as to which new films Ali will make with Yash Raj Films."

एक ट्रेड सूत्र ने कहा, “अली अब्बास जफर एक ऐसे फिल्ममेकर हैं जिन्होंने यशराज फिल्म्स में ‘मेरे ब्रदर की दुल्हन’, ‘सुल्तान’, ‘गुंडे’ और ‘टाइगर जिंदा है’ जैसी बड़ी हिट फिल्में दी हैं। इसलिए यह एक रोमांचक विकास है क्योंकि अली अब तकनीकी रूप से अपने अल्मा मेटर में लौट रहे हैं।”
